The Minnesota Golden Gopher men’s basketball team lost their Big Ten Conference opener 63-60 against the Michigan Wolverines at Williams Arena Thursday night.

Andre Hollins led Minnesota with 12 points and five rebounds, and Elliot Eliason scored ten points and pulled down ten rebounds, but it was not enough as the Gophers fall to 11-3 on the season.

The Gophers are scheduled to host Purdue on Sunday afternoon at Williams Arena.
