Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said after Sunday's game that he did not anticipate a quarterback controversy during the upcoming bye week. Instead, he reiterated that Christian Ponder is "our quarterback" according to multiple sources on Twitter.

Vikings' third year starter Christian Ponder was unable to play Sunday in Minnesota's 34-27 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a fractured rib.  Matt Cassel got the start and was 16-25 passing for 248 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Ponder, 0-3 this season as the starter under center, was 59-100 for 691 yards with two touchdowns and five interceptions this season.

The Vikings have a bye in week five, then host the Carolina Panthers in week six at the Metrodome.
