Four Vikings were named to the NFC Pro Bowl team when the NFC and AFC Pro Bowl teams were announced.  The four are running back Adrian Peterson, fullback Jerome Felton, kicker Blair Walsh and defensive end Jared Allen.  Peterson is named to his 5th Pro Bowl team.  Felton and Walsh are first time pro bowlers.

Peterson leads the NFL in rushing and is just 208 yards away from Eric Dickerson's single season rushing record.  Blair Walsh is 9-9 on field goals of 50-plus yards.  He was a 6th round pick by the Vikings in April.  Jared Allen has 10 sacks this season.

The 49ers had the most players named to the Pro Bowl at 9.  Linebacker Chad Greenway is a Viking who is an omission who leads the NFC in tackles.

The Vikings host Green Bay Sunday at 3:25, pregame on WJON at 2:30.  Green Bay is favored by 3.
