ST. CLOUD -- The UM-Duluth Bulldogs scored 23 points in the second half to pull away from the Huskies in a 44-21 blowout.

The Bulldogs scored 21 unanswered points after the Huskies took an early 7-0 lead on a 39-yard touchdown pass from Nate Meyer to Joe Mooney.

SCSU made it a one-score game as Taylor Berger hit Grant Thayer for a touchdown just before the end of the first half.

UMD scored 17 points in the third quarter, highlighted by two touchdown passes by quarterback Drew Bauer.

Meyer was able to hit Thayer again for another Huskies touchdown but the game was decided by then as the Bulldogs won, 44-21.

With the loss, the Huskies drop to 2-4 and will travel to Moorhead to face the MSUM Dragons next Saturday.
