Cathedral pitcher Jeff Fasching allowed a leadoff walk, picked the runner off of first base, then retired 14 straight Princeton Tigers to pick up the win in a 15-0 CHS win at Solheim Field in Princeton. The Crusaders also won game two 12-2.

Fasching had four strikeouts in the game and was backed by two big home runs. The two run blast from Brian Minks and three run drive from Steven Neutzling were the Crusaders' first home runs of the year.

After the game, Fasching gave the credit to catcher Thomas Imholte for "calling a great game," and to his defense for "making a number of great plays behind (him)."
