Cathedral Hockey Hosts Alexandria Thursday With Trip To State On The Line

The #1-seeded Cathedral boys hockey team hosts #2-seeded Alexandria at the MAC in St. Cloud Thursday night for the Section 6A title and a trip to the Minnesota State Tournament.

Cathedral finished the regular season at 17-7-1. To make it to the section final, the Crusaders beat Little Falls 8-1 in their opening game, then topped Sartell 3-1 at the MAC in the semifinal.

Alexandria was 17-5-2 during the regular season. The Cardinals advanced to the section final by topping Prairie Center 3-1, then beating the Apollo Eagles 3-2 in two overtimes.

The Crusaders topped the Cardinals 3-2 on December 14 at Runestone Community Center.
