The St. Cloud State men's basketball team has been practicing for the past few weeks. I talked with the head coach Matt Reimer on WJON this week. The Huskies have players from 7 different countries and 4 different states.

St. Cloud State University will unveil a Herb Brooks statue outside the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center on Saturday, October 26th. The Huskies are scheduled to take on Northeastern University after the dedication.

Brainerd took control of this game early and never looked back against Sartell, winning the game 34-6.

The St. Cloud State football team lost their 3rd game of the year 16-13 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to the Augustana Vikings Saturday with snow falling in overtime. Luis Guarita made a 35-yard field goal in overtime to win it for Augustana. The Huskies turned the ball over on their possession in OT.

Many area college teams are ranked nationally this week. The St. Cloud State men's hockey team is ranked #7 this week in the USCHO.com Division I poll. The Huskies played an exhibition game and beat the University of Alberta 4-2 Sunday night. SCSU starts the regular season Friday and Saturday nights at Bemidji State.

The Twins lost 5-1 Monday night in Game 3 of the ALDS at Target Field to the Yankees. The Yankees win the series 3 games to none. The Twins become the first team to win 100-plus regular season games and to be swept in the Divisional round of the playoffs.

Becker held off a late rally from ROCORI to hold on to a 14-12 victory Friday night.
