The St. Cloud State men's basketball team improved to 2-3 after topping Waldorf College 94-67 Thursday night. The Huskies led 52-30 at halftime. SCSU was led in scoring by Trevon Marshall with 18 points and Dre Blatancic with 16 points.

The Minnesota Vikings (7-3) are back at home this afternoon to face the Denver Broncos (3-6) at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Rocori football team has advanced Class 4-A State Championship after topping Winona 48-24 at U.S. Bank Stadium Friday night. Rocori trailed 14-7 at halftime but outscored Winona 20-3 in the 3rd quarter and 21-7 in the 4th quarter.

The Timberwolves played the first of 2 games without Karl-Anthony Towns Saturday night and Minnesota wins at Washington 131-109. Minnesota was led by Andrew Wiggins with 21 points and both Robert Covington and Jarrett Culver added 20 points.

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team settled for a 5-5 tie in Saturday's game with Princeton at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. SCSU lost 5-3 to Princeton Friday night.

The St. Cloud State football lost 38-14 at Bemidji State Saturday afternoon. The Huskies fell behind 17-0 at halftime and it didn't get better for SCSU in the 2nd half. Dwayne Lawhorn threw for 207 yards and a touchdown and he ran for 26 yards for the Huskies.

The St. John's football team lost 19-18 at home against Concordia-Moorhead Saturday. The Johnnies were outscored 7-6 in overtime. Henry Trost scored his 2nd of 2 touchdowns in overtime but the extra point was blocked.

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team lost 5-3 at home against Princeton Friday night. The Huskies fell behind 2-1 after 1 period and trailed 4-3 after 2 periods. The Huskies couldn't catch up in and 3rd and drop to 1-2-2 on the season.

The Rocori football team downed Detroit Lakes Friday night in the Section 8-4-A Final in the snow in Alexandria 14-6. The Spartans improve to 8-2 while handing Detroit Lakes their first loss. The Lakers fall to 9-1.
