Timberwolves Top Thunder in Preseason Game

The Timberwolves won 112-94 in Tulsa, Oklahoma against the Oklahoma City Thunder Sunday night. The Wolves were led by veteran guard Mo Williams with 19 points. Ricky Rubio, Robbie Hummel and Kevin Martin each added 13 points for Minnesota.

The High School Football section pairings have been announced for the upcoming playoffs. Moorhead is #1 in Section 8-5-A, Sartell is #2, Apollo is #3, Alexandria #4, Tech is #5 and Sauk Rapids-Rice is #6.

Soccer Section Final Results; Apollo and Sartell Win

Apollo defeated Sartell-St. Stephen 3-0 at St. Cloud State's Husky Stadium Thursday night in the Section 8-A final . Apollo improves to 18-0-2 and will play in the Class A state tournament next week.

Tech Football Tops Willmar 28-13 [AUDIO]

The St. Cloud Tech football team downed Willmar 28-13 Wednesday night in the final night of the regular season. The Tigers and Cardinals were tied at 7 apiece at halftime. Willmar scored the first 2nd half touchdown but missed the extra point before Tech scored 3 unanswered touchdowns to come away with the win.

Sartell Football Ranked #7, Becker #6

The Associated Press High School Football State rankings were released Wednesday. Sartell-St. Stephen is ranked #7 in the State in Class 5-A. The Sabres are 4-1 and will play at Rocori at 7pm Friday night, pregame on WJON at 6:50.

Bridgewater Questionable; Rudolph, Greenway are Out

The Vikings released their injury report yesterday and listed rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater as questionable with a left ankle sprain. Bridgewater was a limited participate in practice Wednesday mornings before the team left for Green Bay.

According to multiple sources the Twins have reportedly fired Manager Ron Gardenhire after 13 seasons with team. Gardenhire was under contract through the 2015 season. Gardenhire's coaching staff was working in the final year of their contract.

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team is picked to finish 3rd in the NCHC preseason poll. St. Cloud State is the defending NCHC regular season champ. North Dakota is picked to win the conference title with 181 total points from the 25 media members who voted.
