Matt Schaub threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Arian Foster, and the Houston Texans beat the Chicago Bears, 13-6, in driving rain in Chicago on Sunday night. Foster ran for 102 yards on 29 carries for Houston (8-1), but his touchdown reception in the second quarter was the difference in the game. Schaub finished with just 95 yards passing and two interceptions.
Vikings Top Lions 34-24 to Complete Season Sweep
The Vikings defeated the Detroit Lions 34-24 at home Sunday to sweep the season series against Detroit and improve to 6-4 while dropping Detroit to 4-5. Minnesota led 13-3 at halftime and held on in the 2nd half. Adrian Peterson ran for 171 yards on 27 carries and 1 touchdown plus he scored on a 2-point conversion. Kyle Rudolph was th top receiver for Minnesota with 7 catches for 64 yards and 1 touchdown for Minnesota.
Peterson, Harvin and Guion Miss Practice For Vikings
The Vikings practice without start players running back Adrian Peterson and receiver Percy Harvin Thursday. Defensive tackle Letroy Guion (turf toe) also missed practice for the Vikings Thursday. Peterson sat out because of an illness but is expected to play Sunday against Detroit. Harvin missed a 2nd straight day of practice with an ankle sprain. Harvin was spotted in the locker room limping badly.
Thursday Night Football: Indianapolis Colts Beat Jacksonville Jaguars, 27-10
Rookie quarterback Andrew Luck ran for two touchdowns, and the Indianapolis Colts dominated the Jacksonville Jaguars, 27-10, in Jacksonville on Thursday night. Indianapolis (6-3) never trailed, jumping out to a 17-3 halftime lead on an Adam Vinatieri field goal and Luck's two scores. Darius Butler's 11-yard interception return for a touchdown with 10:50 to play in the third quarter all but secured the Colts' victory.

Returning national champion Kentucky opens the 2012-13 college basketball season against Maryland at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Even though head coach John Calipari lost his entire starting lineup to the NBA, the Wildcats have Willie Cauley-Stein, Nerlens Noel and other blue-chip players who figure to present quite a challenge for the Terrapins.
Harvin, Guion Miss Practice For Vikings
The Vikings were back on the practice field Wednesday in preparation for their next game against Detroit Sunday at noon from Mall of America Field, pregame on WJON at 11am. Receiver Percy Harvin and defensive tackle Letroy Guion both missed practice Wednesday. Harvin is out with an ankle injury. He considered himself a "long shot" to play on Monday after spraining his left ankle in 3 spots against Seattle. The Vikings are holding out hope that Harvin can play against the Lions.
Monday Night Football: New Orleans Saints Beat Philadelphia Eagles, 28-13
Drew Brees threw two touchdown passes and Patrick Robinson scored on a 99-yard interception return, as the New Orleans Saints beat the Philadelphia Eagles, 28-13, in the Superdome on Monday night. New Orleans (3-5) sacked Michael Vick seven times and sent Philadelphia (3-5) to its fourth straight loss. The Saints jumped out to a 21-3 halftime lead thanks to Robinson's first quarter interception return and Brees' precision passing.
Harvin’s Ankle Could Keep Him From Playing Sunday
Viking receiver Percy Harvin sustained a sprained ankle in 3 different places Sunday against Seattle and the injury could force him to the sidelines against the Lions. Harvin returned the game Sunday at Seattle after sustaining the injury but he was favoring the ankle. Head coach Leslie Frazier said the sprain is not a high ankle sprain.
