As part of the festivities surrounding the 2015 All Star Game, which was held in Cincinnati Tuesday night, Major League Baseball announced the four players of each team deemed the greatest in franchise history.
The Twins will be represented by 2nd baseman Brian Dozier and left handed relief pitcher Glen Perkins at the Major League Baseball All Star game tonight in Cincinnati. Dozier is making his first All Star appearance while Perkins will be appearing in his 3rd All Star game.
He won't be an all star, but Brian Dozier hit his second walk-off home run of the week as the Minnesota Twins scored seven runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to come back and beat the Detroit Tigers 8-6 on Friday night.
The Twins host the Tigers again Friday night at Target Field. Justin Verlander will start for Detroit opposite the Twins' Ervin Santana. First pitch is set for 7:10 PM on AM 1240 WJON, with pregame coverage beginning at 6:30 PM.
