The Twins are reportedly looking at free agent pitchers at the baseball Winter Meetings in Nashville this week. The pitchers that appear to be on the radar are righthanders Brandon McCarthy (Oakland), Kevin Correia (Pittsburgh), Joe Blanton (Philadelphia), Brett Meyers (White Sox), and lefthander John Lannon (Washington).

Twins Add Gibson, Hicks to 40-Man Roster
The Twins have added 8 players to their 40-man Major League roster and invite each player to spring training with a chance to make the team. Among the 8 players added are righthanded starting pitcher Kyle Gibson, who is coming off elbow surgery. Gibson was 3-2 with a 5.40 ERA pitching in the Arizona Fall League.
Former Twin, Hunter To Sign With Tigers
Former Twins centerfielder Torii Hunter has agreed to sign a 2-year $26 Million contract according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports. Hunter has reportedly narrowed his choices to Texas, Detroit and Atlanta. Hunter is a 37-year old rightfielder at this point in his career. He batted .313 with 16 homeruns and 92 RBIs for the Los Angeles Angels in 2012.
Cubs Sign Former Twin, Scott Baker
Scott Baker is not returning to the Twins. Baker agreed to terms on a 1-year $5.5 Million contract with incentives for another $1.5 Million. Baker sat out all of the 2012 season after having Tommy John surgery in the spring. Baker may not be ready when the regular season starts. The Twins were trying to re-sign Baker after declining the $9.2 Million option for this season.
