Byron Buxton made his debut for the New Britain Rock Cats Wednesday night, going 0-3 with three strikeouts before getting taken off the field in an ambulance after a scary collision.

Buxton collided with right fielder Mike Kvasnicka, hitting his head on Kvasnicka’s hip chasing down a fly ball. Buxton lay motionless on the turf for ten minutes before being taken off the field.

The Twins say Buxton has concussion-like symptoms, but the 20-year-old did return to the stadium before the game was over. He will have to pass the league’s concussion protocol before he can return to action.
