The Twins lost their fourth straight game Saturday with a 12-5 loss to Boston at Target Field. David Ortiz clubbed two home runs for the Red Sox in the win.

Both starting pitchers struggled their way to a nearly four hour game. Twins starter Scott Diamond threw 93 pitches (48 balls) in just 4.1 innings of work, while Sox starter Ryan Dempster threw 127 pitches (59 balls) in just 4.2.

The Twins threatened in the fifth inning when they cut the Red Sox lead to 7-5 on a groundout and a pair of singles, but Ortiz and Daniel Nava each blasted two-run home runs in the top of the eighth to seal the win.

Five Twins had multi-hit games including Joe Mauer, who extended his hitting streak to fifteen games with a double in the fourth inning.

The Twins and Red Sox will finish their three game series Sunday afternoon at Target Field.
