Blue Sox Have Great Gopher Spring Invite Showing

The 12AA St. Cloud Blue Sox won the Gopher State Spring Invite in St. Cloud  at Whitney Field Sunday afternoon.  St. Cloud beat North Branch 10-9 in 8 innings in the championship game.

The 12AAA St. Cloud Blue Sox tied Zimmerman in the semifinals and couldn’t play the finals due to rain and field conditions.  Both St. Cloud Blue Sox teams have earned a trip to the Gopher State Tournament of Champions to be played in July.

A total of 49 teams competed in the 2-day tournament.  Not all games were played due to field conditions and rain.

13AAA played in Rogers tournament over the weekend.  They took 1st place beating Coon Rapids and also qualify for the state tournament.
