Blue Sox 11AAA Play For 3rd In World Series

The St. Cloud Blue Sox 11AAA youth baseball team plays for 3rd place in the West Coast Global World Series in Aurora, Colorado.  The Blue Sox finished 1-3 in pool play and were seeded 9th out of 10 teams.  The Blue Sox defeated the Rocky Mountain Rampage 6-4 in the first round of bracket play and upset the top seeded New Mexico Sidewinders 7-6 before falling 10-4 to Colorado Spring Majestic in the final four.

The Blue Sox will play the Rocky Mountain Hit Club at 8:30 Sunday morning for 3rd place.  10 teams from 4 different states participated in this tournament since Thursday.  The Blue Sox are 3-4 overall in the tournament.

The 11AAA Blue Sox roster consists of Jackson Baustian-Jangula, Nick Schaefer, Brady Posch, Drew Gustafson, Cole Fuecker, Jack Hennemann, Eric Faust, Evan Gertken, Adam Olson, Tate Caldwell, Ethan Hylla and Matt Schmitt.
