The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Minnesota Wild 2-1 late Sunday night at the United Center in Chicago. The Blackhawks lead the best-of-seven series thee games to two.

Erik Haula started the scoring for the Wild with just over three minutes remaining in the opening period, with the assist credited to Jared Spurgeon. Minnesota outshot Chicago 8-6 in the first period.

The Blackhawks scored the tying goal about halfway through the second period. Bryan Bickell notched his sixth goal of the playoffs at 9:18, with assists given to Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp. Chicago outshot Minnesota 15-6 in the second period.

The Wild generated more offensive chances in the third period, outshooting Chicago 14-7, but it was the Blackhawks that broke through and scored the tie-breaking goal. Captain Jonathan Toews scored the eventual game-winner at 4:33 of the third.

Game six will be played at Xcel Energy Center Tuesday night at 8 PM.
