The Timberwolves have the first overall pick in the NBA draft tonight for the first time in franchise history.  The Wolves are expected to pick 6'11 250 pound center Karl Anthony Towns from Kentucky.

The Timberwolves have suffered through 11 straight seasons of not making the playoffs but with a young nucleus that includes Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine and Shabazz Muhammed there is reason for optimism.

If the Wolves draft Towns they will be filling a big need at either center or power forward.  The Wolves have been considering Duke Center Jahlil Okafor and Ohio State guard D'Angelo Russell.  Towns can do many things from his low-post game to making shots from outside to making free throws.  Towns is also a top shot blocker.

The Wolves also have 2 2nd round picks.  The 2 2nd round picks are #31 and #36 overall.
