Boys Basketball Section Finals Preview (Apollo and Sartell)

St. Cloud State's Halenbeck Hall is the site for a boys basketball section final doubleheader Thursday night. Apollo plays 6th ranked Delano at 6pm tonight in the first game, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 5:50. Apollo is 16-12 while Delano is 25-3.

NCHC Selects Logo and Announces Tournament Plans

The newly formed National Collegiate Hockey Conference, which St. Cloud State will be a member of, revealed their new logo today. The NCHC also announced that the conference will hold its first conference tournament at Target Center March 21-22.

Gophers’ Mbakwe Gets Big Ten Honor; Gophers Not Ranked

Gopher senior forward/center Trevor Mbakwe has been named the Big Ten player of the week for leading the Gophers to wins over #1 Indiana and last place Penn State. Mbakwe posted double-doubles in both Gopher wins including a season high 21 points and 12 rebounds in the win over Indiana.

Michigan Tech Tops SCSU Hockey Saturday Night

The 7th ranked St. Cloud State men's hockey team lost 5-1 Saturday night at home to Michigan Tech. Jimmy Murray scored the lone SCSU goal in the 3rd period. SCSU was outshot 37-27 and Ryan Faragher had 14 saves with 4 goals allowed.
