Stearns County Facility Dog Receives State Award
Stearns County Facility dog, Nova has been named the "Hero Dog of the Year" by the Minnesota Veterinarian Association. Stearns County Attorney Janelle Kendall indicated every year they have an award ceremony and gather to discuss how animals can help us out as humans.
Car Dealerships Revisited; Downtown St. Cloud
John Tenvoorde led a group of dutch settlers from Pennsylvania, then to Indiana and then St. Cloud. His son Steve in 1901 began selling cars from his bicycle shop in downtown St. Cloud. He signed the second Ford franchise on March 21, 1903, before Ford Motor Co. was incorporated that June.

This Year’s Ice Fishing Season May Be the Worst in MN
Not everyone is fond of the warm weather in Central Minnesota this winter. Glen Schmitt from Outdoors News feels this could be the worst ice fishing season in Minnesota. He says last year's season wasn't good but this is worse.
Beltway Around St. Cloud Could Still Be in the Works
To ease travel around the St. Cloud Metro area leaders have often brought up a beltway. Stearns County Commissioner Joe Perske was one of many who attended an event at Sartell Community Center Wednesday night to discuss the plan to execute this.
Another Ice Fishing Contest Adjusted Due to the Weather
Due to poor ice fishing conditions the Pearl Lake Association will not be holding the Dave Berger Memorial Ice contest on the ice Saturday February 10. The event is moving all contest events to the Pearl Lake Lodge parking lot.

Be Aware of Speed Enforcement on St. Joe Detour
The construction on the County Road 75 bridge over the Sauk River between Waite Park/St. Cloud and St. Joseph is pushing traffic south onto Stearns County Roads 138 and 121.
