The Tech Tigers boys basketball team heads to Fergus Falls Tuesday night for a matchup with the Otters. The Tigers beat the Otters 64-61 on December 18th. Tech is 7-12 overall this season and 7-5 in the Central Lakes Conference. The Tigers have lost three straight and ten of their last twelve games. The Otters are 10-11 overall and 5-7 in the CLC.
The Minnesota Wild swept their three game Canadian road trip, which ended with a 4-2 win over the Canucks in Vancouver Sunday. The Wild earned all six possible points on the trip and remain five points behind Calgary for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
The Saturday Morning Coaches' Show focused on local hockey teams this week. Apollo Eagles boys hockey coach Pete Matanich, Tech boys coach Joel Heitkamp, Cathedral's Eric Johnson, Stormin' Sabres girls coach Marty Anderson, Ice Breakers girls coach Mark Chamernick and River Lakes girls coach Jack Freeman all joined Dave Overlund this week.

The ROCORI Spartans will look to get revenge for a mid-December loss in Cold Spring when they take on the Tigers at Tech High School Thursday night on WJON. Since ROCORI lost to Tech back on December 12th, the Spartans are 12-1. ROCORI boasts a 14-4 record this season, including an 8-2 mark in the Central Lakes Conference. The Spartans were just 4-23 last season.
