SCSU Men’s Hockey Completes Sweep Of Mavericks

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team beat Minnesota State-Mankato 5-1 Saturday to complete a weekend sweep.  The Huskies also won 5-1 on Friday night.  Cory Thorson scored in the 2nd period to break a scoreless tie and SCSU scored 4 3rd period goals led by Nic Dowd's game-winner early in the 3rd period.

Drew Leblanc added a goal for the Huskies.  He and Nic Dowd lead the team with 10 points apiece through 6 games.  SCSU is 4-2 and winners of 4 in a row.  Ryan Faragher had 35 saves in net for SCSU.

SCSU will play at the University of Denver on November 2-3.
