Vikings Sign Sapp, Lloyd;  Will Entertain Tomlinson

The Vikings agreed to terms on a new contract with free agent cornerback Benny Sapp.  He started 7 games for injured Antoine Winfield in 2009 and had 25 tackles, 2 pass breakups and 2 forced fumbles.  The Vikings also signed kickoff specialist Rhys Lloyd to a 2-year contract.  The Eden Prairie native and former Gopher led the NFL with 30 touchbacks in 2009 for Carolina.  Free agent running back Ladainian Tomlinson will visit the Vikings Thursday and could become the backup to Adrian Peterson for Minnesota.  Tomlinson was released by the San Diego Chargers 2 weeks ago and ranked 8th on the NFL's all-time rushing list with 12,490 yards.  The 30-year old ran for just 730 yards last season for San Diego averaging 3.3 yards a carry.
