The Gopher football team won at Bowling Green 42-17 Saturday night to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Minnesota came in a 9-point underdog. The Gophers scored first and led 14-10 at halftime. Minnesota put the game out of reach by scoring 21 4th quarter points. Bowling Green committed 5 turnovers compared to no turnovers for the Gophers. Adam Weber led the Gophers on offense with 233 yards passing and 3 touchdowns and he added 13 yards rushing and 1 touchdown. Duane Bennett led the Gophers in receiving yards with 100 on 8 catches and 1 touchdown. Rocori graduate Eric Decker added 6 catches for 86 yards and 1 touchdown. The Gophers return home and host Montana State next Saturday at 11am, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 10am.
