The Twins lost 9-0 in Toronto against the Blue Jays Thursday night. Jesse Litsch threw a complete-
game 4-hit shutout to get the win and improve to 10-8. Kevin Slowey threw 5 2/3 innings with 10 hits and 3 earned runs allowed to take the loss and drop to 11-9. Denard Span went 2-4 for Minnesota. The Twins are 77-63 and are now 1 1/2 games back of the White Sox for first place in the American League Central. Minnesota will host Detroit beginning a 6-game homestand and 3-game series tonight at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40. Lefthander Francisco Liriano (4-3) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Armando Galarraga (12-4) toes the rubber for the Tigers.
