The St. Cloud River Bats scored 5 runs in the 8th inning to down Battle Creek 6-3 at Joe Faber Field
Monday afternoon. The go-ahead run scored in the 8th inning on an error. Kevin Johnson singled home Derek McCallum before Adam Weisenberger drove in 2 with a double in the 8th. Kurtis Frymier earned the win in relief. John Atteo started the game and allowed 2 runs in 7 inning but didn't figure in the final decision. St. Cloud improves to 3-0 in the 2nd half of the year and 21-15 overall. The Bats also signed centerfielder Brian Humphries out of Pepperdine to take over in centerfield. Centerfielder Christian Ramirez injured his knee and is out for the year. Humphries was drafted in the 19th round by Boston in the June Major League draft. Humphries is right out of high school. St. Cloud will host Battle Creek again Tuesday night at 7:05, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 6:35
