The 25th ranked Gophers men's basketball team lost at home to Illinois 71-62 Thursday night.  Minnesota has lost 4 straight games for the first time since Tubby Smith has been the head coach of the Gophers.  Trevor Mbakwe led the Gophers with 17 points and 16 rebounds and Ralph Sampson III added 16 points and 11 rebounds for Minnesota.  The Gophers shot just 36 percent from the field.  Minnesota is 16-8 overall and 5-7 in the Big Ten.  The Gophers play at Iowa Sunday night at 5pm, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 4:30.
