Apollo and Sartell Battle In Memorable Section Playoff
October 25th, 2014

The Apollo Eagles have never beaten Sartell on the football field, a fact that the Eagles' fans, players and coaches are well aware of. For a brief moment on October 25th during a Section 8-5A playoff game, it appeared Apollo would reverse the curse.

Apollo’s Connor Waldron kicked a 36 yard field goal for the Eagles with just over a minute remaining in the game to give the Eagles a two-point lead.

However, quarterback Brandon Snoberger led the Sabres down the field in under one minute and connected with receiver Jake Lieberg on a 17-yard TD pass to give Sartell the win.
