#20 Gophers Down Akron

The 20th ranked Gopher men's basketball team defeated Akron 66-58 Wednesday night at Williams Arena.  Trevor Mbakwe led the Gophers with 13 points and 13 rebounds, Blake Hoffarber added 13 points and 7 assists and Rodney Williams chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Hoffarber surpassed 1,000 points in his career during the game.  Minnesota trailed by 5 at halftime but rallied in the 2nd half.  The Gophers are 10-1 and will host South Dakota State at 7pm Thursday December 23.
