Tribe Tops Twins Tuesday Night At Target Field
The Cleveland Indians evened their series with the Minnesota Twins with a 5-2 win at Target Field. The Twins fall to 53-64 on the season.
Sam Deduno struggled in his start for the Twins. The righty fell to 7-6 on the year after allowing five runs on five hits with three walks. Ryan Raburn had the pivotal home run for Cleveland, a two-run shot in the top of the sixth inning that gave the Indians a 5-1 lead.
Josh Willingham had a solo home run for Minnesota, his 12th of the season. With that, the Twins set a MLB record with 23 straight runs all scored by homers. The Twins again struggled with runners in scoring position, going 0-6.
The Twins and Indians wrap up their series Wednesday with a 12:10 contest at Target Field. Kyle Gibson will start for Minnesota against Cleveland’s Carlos Carrasco.
