ST. CLOUD - The #1 ranked St. Cloud State men's hockey team scored two goals in the third period to rally and tie Union 3-3 Saturday night at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

The Huskies led off the scoring in the first period with junior forward Joey Holka's first goal of the season.

Union struck back and scored three unanswered goals in the second period for a 3-1 lead. Daniel Ciampini, Daniel Carr, and Eli Lichenwald all scored for the Dutchmen.

St. Cloud State rallied in the third period, getting a goal from Joey Benik and the game tying goal from Jonny Brodzinski in the last minute of regulation.

The overtime period was a scoreless draw. The game moved to a shootout that didn't count for any points since it was a non-conference game. Union won the shootout 2-1.

Goalie Ryan Faragher made 23 saves for the Huskies and is now 10-2-2 this season.

The Huskies will have some time off before returning to action on January 4th.
